Salvatore Domenic Gasdia, 90 years, passed away Saturday, April l, 2017 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born December 25, 1926 in Somerville, MA.
Known as Sal, as a young man he enlisted in the Coast Guard in 1944 during WW II. In 1954 he joined the Public Health Service Commission Corp (Navy), stationed at the HEW Public Health Supply Depot in Perry Point, MD. He served until his retirement in 1978 as Director of the Supply Depot. Sal was a Pharmacist and worked at Harford Memorial Hospital of Havre de Grace, MD, for 25 years until his retirement in 1984.
His passion was bowling and he bowled in multiple leagues in Harford and Cecil County.
Sal is survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017, 4 PM, at the Susquehanna American Legion Post No. 135, 300 Cherry Street, Perryville, MD.
