Sandy Ollie Smith

Sandy Ollie Smith, 70 yrs, of North East, MD, died Monday, July 14, 2014 at his residence. Born June 22, 1944 in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of the late James Paul and Georgia Ilene Slayman Smith. Sandy was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. He was employed as a boiler maker by the Local NTL of Kansas City, MO. He is survived by his wife, Kathy M. Keller Smith of North East, MD; sons, Sandy O. Smith, Jr., of Conowingo, MD, Michael J. Smith and Mark A. Smith both of North East, MD, Richard Coffin of Rising Sun, MD; daughters, Angela Riley of Conowingo, MD, and Christine Randow of Rising Sun, MD; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Samuel Smith and Paul Smith both of Rising Sun, MD, Dale Smith of North East, MD, and James Smith of Easton, MD. In addition to his parents, Sandy was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Smith. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2014, 12 Noon, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014, 10 AM until 12 Noon, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Pastor Michael A. Caldwell of Asbury United Methodist Church, Port Deposit, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD.
