Sandy Ollie Smith, Jr.

Sandy Ollie Smith, Jr., “Buddy”, 59 years, of Perryville, MD, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024 in the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center of Aberdeen, MD. Born August 19, 1964 in Havre de Grace, MD, he was the son of the late Sandy Ollie, Sr., and Mary Elaine Harry Smith.

Buddy was employed as a steel worker for 10+ years by Helmark Steel of Wilmington, DE. He loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter, Adriauna. He had the kindest and most generous heart. Buddy was the biggest “Star Wars” fan, and especially loved Darth Vader. He enjoyed playing Xbox live with people all over the world and even had friends in Ukraine.

Buddy is survived by his step-mother, Kathy Smith; sons, Aaron Holmes and Christopher Holmes; daughter, Adriauna Smith; brothers, Mark Smith (Dawn) and Michael Smith (Jen); sisters, Angie Riley (Eric) and Chrissy Randow (Dennis); nephew, Snook; nieces, Joanna (Josh), Alena (Tavian), Alicia (Mike); many other nieces, nephews, family, friends; and his dog, Bella.

Buddy lived with his sister, Chrissy, who was his loving caregiver. His family will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the Jerry Skrivanek V.F.W. Post No. 8185 of Port Deposit, MD. The time of the service will be posted at a later date.
