Sara Wilson Gough

Sara Wilson Gough, 89 years, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at home. Born December 23, 1928 in Oxford, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Minnie Pearl Wilson. Mrs. Gough is survived by her sons, Cecil P. Gough, III (Skip), Rick A. Gough, and Tim D. Gough, Sr.; daughter, Shari L. Kuhn; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. She was a self-employed cosmetologist and the owner/operator of Sara’s Beauty Shop. Mrs. Gough was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Rising Sun American Legion Post No. 194 and was a Past President of the Auxiliary. She was a member of the Ladies Red Hat Society of Pennsylvania. She was an avid reader, loved to do crossword puzzles and enjoyed tending to her container gardens. Most especially she was a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Gough was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Phillip Gough, Jr.; son, Ted M. Gough; brothers, Clyde Wilson, James Wilson, Curtis Wilson and Robert Wilson; sisters, Minnie P. Reburn, Ida Fuller, Iva Kirk and Mary Porter. Funeral services will be private.
