Shirley Temple (Guessford) Welch

Shirley Temple Welch, 77 yrs, of Perryville, MD, died Monday, February 17, 2014 in Harford Memorial Hospital of Havre de Grace, MD. Born March 21, 1936 in Townsend, DE, she was the daughter of the Walter Lee and Mollie Harriet Moore Guessford. Mrs. Welch was formerly employed as a nursing assistant by the V.A. Maryland Health Care System of Perry Point, MD. Mrs. Welch is survived by her husband, John Paul Welch of Perryville, MD; sons, Richard E. Schaub and wife, Jenny, of Middleton, TN, and Philip C. Schaub and wife, Melinda, of Perryville, MD; daughter, Vickie L. Richards of North East, MD; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother, Walter L. Guessford; sisters, Rosalie V. Frazer and Violet G. O’Neal. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Welch was preceded in death by her sisters, Louise H. Galye and Nellie A. Price. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Community Fire Company of Perryville in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, February 20, 2014, 4:30 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, February 20, 2014, 3 PM until 4:30 PM, at the funeral home prior to the memorial service. Pastor Dr. Harold Phillips of Pleasant View Baptist Church, Port Deposit, MD, will officiate. Interment will private. Arrangements by Lee A.
