Stanley Esmond Riale, Jr.

Stanley “Spike” Esmond Riale, Jr., 87 years, of Perryville, MD, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024 in the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center of Bel Air, MD. Born March 11, 1937 in Perryville, MD, he was the son of the late Stanley, Sr., and Virginia Parson Riale.

Spike was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from 1960 until 1962. He was a member of the Susquehanna American Legion Post No. 135 of Perryville and The Community Fire Company of Perryville, MD. He was formerly employed by the V.A. Medical Center of Perry Point, MD, in their maintenance division.

Spike is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Peggy Riale; son, Stanley Riale, III; daughter, Cynthia Zacerous; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother, Billy Riale; and sisters, Delores Reil and Evelyn Jones.

In addition to his parents, Spike was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Riale, Sr.; brothers, Harold Riale and Wesley Riale; and sisters, Anita Blackburn and Rhoda Harvey.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, January 8, 2025, 10 AM, at The Community Fire Company Minker Hall of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2025, 7 PM until 9 PM, at Minker Hall. Pastor Michael A. Caldwell of Asbury Church of Port Deposit, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Rosebank Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.
