Sylvester Randolph Jenifer

Sylvester Randolph Jenifer, 84 yrs, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at his residence. Born April 20, 1932 in Port Deposit, MD, he was the son of the late Marshall and Genesta Brown Jenifer. Sylvester was a self-employed contractor and a veteran of the U.S. Army have served from 1952 until 1954. He is survived by his wife, Joan Jenifer of Port Deposit, MD; son, Michael Marcel Jenifer of Port Deposit, MD; daughters, Sylvia Williams of Edgewood, MD, and Ellen Siler of Elkton, MD; step-daughters, Rhonda Walker of Chester, PA, and Sondra Young of Eddystone, PA; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; sisters, Bertha Jackson and Alice Jones. In addition to his parents, Sylvester was preceded in death by his brothers, Marhsall Jenifer, Clyde Jenifer and Robert Jenifer. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, September 8, 2016, 12 Noon, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, September 8, 2016, 10 am until 12 Noon, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Berkley Cemetery, Darlington, MD.
