Tavis J. Mayse

Tavis J. Mayse, 89 years, of  Conowingo, MD, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019 in the University of Maryland Harford Memorial Hospital of Havre de Grace, MD. Born August 22, 1930 in Ligon County, KY, he was the son of the late Andy and Gora Newsome Mayse.

Mr. Mayse is survived by his sons, Kenneth Mayse of Orlando, FL, Daryl (Fabian) Mayse of Liberty Grove, MD, Christopher Mayse of Conowingo, MD; daughters, Rita Shepard of Elkton, MD, Deborah Spevak of North East, MD, Sherry Martin of Mifflintown, PA; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and brother, Tivis Mayse.

Mr. Myse was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ethel Frances Mayse; son, Donald Mayse; sisters, Gennene MacPherson and Dorothy Gilreath.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, September 24, 2019, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, September 23, 2019, 7 PM until 9 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the New Bridge Baptist Church Cemetery of Colora, MD.
