Thomas Cruz, Jr.

Thomas Cruz Jr., 70 years, of Perryville, MD, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 in Franklin Square Hospital of Baltimore, MD. Born October 1, 1946 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Tomas and Evangelina Monserrate Cruz. Thomas was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Susquehanna American Legion Post No. 135 of Perryville, MD, and employed as a Pharmaceutical Technician by the Department of Health & Human Services of Perry Point, MD. He is survived by his  loving wife of 47 years, Carmen Morales Cruz of Perryville, MD; son, Thomas Cruz III of Belcamp, MD; daughter, Ana-Julia Cruz-Eaton of Newark, DE; two grandchildren, Stephen Thomas Eaton and Marissa Antoinette Eaton; brother, Victor Angelo Cruz; sisters, Josephine Cruz Piedra, Isabel Cruz Gordian, and Ines Cruz Acosta. In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his sisters, Juanita Cruz Flores, Carmen Cruz Sanchez and Julia Cruz. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 29, 2017, 4 PM until 5:30 PM, at Minker Hall, Community Fire Company of Perryville, MD. A memorial gathering will follow the funeral service and will be held at Minker Hall from 6 PM until 8 PM.
