Valaida Lee Parker, 67 yrs, of Port Deposit, MD, died Friday, July 6, 2012, in Upper Chesapeake Health Center, Bel Air, MD. Born May 6, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Ella E. Clark Wilson and step-daughter of Daniel L. Wilson of Port Deposit, MD.
Mrs. Parker was employed by the Aberdeen Proving Ground of Aberdeen, MD, as a logistical supervisor. She was a member of the Cokesbury United Methodist Church, Port Deposit, MD.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Carnell Parker of Port Deposit, MD; sons, Neal D. Ferguson of Elkton, MD. Mark A. Ferguson of Odenton, MD, Marcus John E. Rice of Virginia Beach, VA, Carnell Parker, Jr., of Port Deposit, MD; step-children, Tammie Humphrey, Johnassen Parker, Tameka Parker, Darius Parker, Shon Watkins all of Huntsville, AL; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, July 16, 2012, 12 Noon, at the Cokesbury United Methodist Church, Port Deposit, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, July 16, 2012, 10 AM until 12 Noon, at the church prior to the funeral service. Pastor Provey Powell, Jr., of Cokesbury United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Cokesbury Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD.
