Velma Cecelia Jackson

Velma Cecelia Jackson, 95 yrs, of Perryville, MD, died Saturday, September 22, 2012, in Hospice & Community Care of Lancaster County, PA.  Born March 12, 1917 in Peach Bottom, Lancaster County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah O. and Ethel Mae Fulton Murphy. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Blythedale Seventh Day Adventist Church of Perryville, MD, and is survived by her son, Donald Murphy Jackson of Perryville, MD; daughter, Beverley G. Nash and husband, Dr. James Nash, of New Hollad, PA; three grandchildren; and sister, Sara J. Knight of Lancaster, PA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Jackson, two sisters and one brother. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, September 26, 2012, 2 PM, at the Blythedale Seventh Day Adventist Church of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2012, 12 Noon until 2 PM, at the church prior to the funeral service. Pastor David Byrkit of the Blythedale Seventh Day Adventist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD.
