Willard Sterling Hasson

Willard Sterling (Mopey) Hasson, 82 years, of Perryville, MD, died Sunday, May 19, 2013 at his daughter’s home.  Born November 22, 1930 in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of the late Sterling and F. Eleanor (Link) Hasson. Mr. Hasson was a lifetime member of Susquehanna American Legion Post 135 in Perryville, MD, and retired from Muller-Thym of Perryville, MD.  He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.  He enjoyed playing shuffleboard and spending time with his friends at the river. Mr. Hasson is survived by his son, Willard S. Hasson, Jr. and his wife Penny of Perryville; his daughters, Cynthia McMullen and her husband Paul of Conowingo; Eleanor Deal and her husband Tom of Perryville; Evelyn Hasson and her partner Bobbie Sue of Parsonsburg; sister Mary Lou McCarthy of Philadelphia; and nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his wife, Nancy (Cox) Hasson and his brother Link Hasson. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2013, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the funeral from 10 AM until 11 AM. Brother Dwayne Mullins will officiate.  Interment will be in Principio Cemetery, Perryville, MD.
