William Albert Banks

William Albert Banks, 69 years, of Cecil County, MD, passed on from this life on Monday, July 17, 2017. William was born October 19, 1947 to the late Samuel and Frances Banks. William was a graduate of Perryville High School and went on to serve his country during the Vietnam War. Upon ending his service in the military, William continued to serve our military heroes by working as a nurse’s aid at the V.A. Medical Center of Perry Point, MD. William was a brother to nine siblings and a son to loving parents who resided in Cokesbury, MD. As a young boy William got the nickname “Billy” and the name stuck with him throughout his entire life. William very much enjoyed caring for his animals and cooking. William leaves to cherish his most precious memory his sisters, Sarah Clark and husband, Carl, Helen Aikins and Frances Honesty; brother, Samuel Banks and wife, Shirley; sister-in-law, Elaine Banks; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by sisters, Victoria Banks and Barbara Dorsey; brothers, Dale Banks, Charles Banks, Nathaniel Banks and Clarence Banks. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 29, 2017, 11 AM,  at the Cokesbury United Methodist Church of Port Deposit, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, July 29, 2017, 10 AM until 11 AM, at the church prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Cokesbury Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD.
