William George Benjamin

William George Benjamin, 68 yrs, of Port Deposit, MD, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at the V.A. Maryland Healthcare System, Perry Point, MD.  Born May 10, 1942, in Elkton, MD, he was a son of the late George and Martha Walker Benjamin. Mr. Benjamin was a veteran of the United States Army and was employed by General Motors of Wilmington, DE.  He is survived by his son, Stuart Benjamin; daughter, Edie Benjamin; 12 grandchildren; brother, George Benjamin; and sister, Nancy Reese. In addition to his parents, Mr. Benjamin was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Lou Shuler Benjamin; son, William Benjamin; and daughter, Sherry Benjamin. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, March 9, 2011, 1 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD.  Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2011, 6 PM - 8 PM, at the funeral home.  Pastor Glen Bromwell of Crossroads Bible Church of Elkton, Maryland, will officiate.  Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD.
