William Henry Neff, Jr.

William Henry Neff, Jr., 87 years, of Rising Sun, MD, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at his residence. Born December 1, 1924 in Lonaconing, MD, he was the son of the late William Henry, Sr. and Lydia E. Hadley Neff. Mr. Neff was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church of Port Deposit, MD, and  Porters Grove Baptist Church of Conowingo, MD. He retired in 1979 from Aberdeen Proving Ground of Aberdeen, MD, where he was employed as an Auto Test Director. Mr. Neff was also a veteran of the United States Army having served as Staff Sergeant during W.W. II. Mr. Neff was a member of Harmony Lodge No. 53 AF/AM of Port Deposit, Scottish Rite KCCH 32 Degree Valley of Baltimore, York Rite Bodies of South Eastern Maryland, Past Supreme Tall Cedars of N/A 1978, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, P.G.T.C. Har-Ce Forest No. 142, Boumi Temple, A.A.O.N.M.S. of Baltimore, The Royal Order of Scotland, Susquehanna American Legion Post No. 135 of Perryville, Past Patron Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 27 of Havre de Grace. Mr. Neff is survived by his wife, Beulah Mae Bandy Neff of Rising Sun, MD; daughter, Maryland Neff Reynolds and husband, Lawrence; step-son, James Taylor and wife, Kathy; step-daughters, Lisa Keith and husband, Charles, Deborah Gentry and husband, Thomas; grandson, Rodney Reynolds and wife, Amy; great grandchildren, Sarah Milton and husband, Chad, Samantha Reynolds and Ryan, Amanda Reynolds; great great grandson, Owen Wayne Milton; step-grandchildren, Anthony, Shawn, Jessica, Nicole, CJ, Ryan, Brandy, Bethany, Joey; numerous great step grandchildren; and sister, Dorothea Gray. In addition to his parents, Mr. Neff was preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine Craig Neff; granddaughter, Stephanie Leigh Reynolds; brothers, Ralph and Harry Neff; and sister, Alma Price. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, June 15, 2012, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD.
