William August Severn

William August Severn, 74 years, of Perryville, MD, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 in Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born October 17, 1942 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Albert Frederick, Sr., and Barbara Cecelia McCluskey Severn. Mr. Severn was a member of Good Shepherd Parish and attended Good Shepherd Catholic Church of Perryville, MD. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving on the USS Beale 471 Destroyer. Mr. Severn was most recently employed as a Chemical Operator by Noramco, Johnson & Johnson of Wilmington, DE. In addition, he had previously been employed  as a Lab Technician by the Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen, MD, Occidental Chemical of Perryville, MD, Firestone Plastics of Perryville, MD, American Cyanamid of Havre de Grace, MD. Mr. Severn is survived by his wife, Tina Ann Holdren Severn of Perryville, MD; daughters, Jane Severn Wilson and husband, Stanley, Karen Severn and boyfriend, Richard Sexton, Tammy Severn and husband, Thomas Pennell, Tonia Severn-Schwendner and husband, Frank, and Crystal Severn-Dunn; stepdaughter, Jessica Lloyd and husband, Leon; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Mr. Severn was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Severn; step-son, Andrew Justin Gott; brothers, Carroll Severn, John Severn, Sr., Joseph Severn, Albert F. Severn, Jr., Edward William Severn, Sr.; sisters, Barbara Kolawski, Dorothy Dille and Mary C. Cutler. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 7, 2017, 11 AM, at the  Good Shepherd Catholic Church of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, January 6, 2017, 6 PM until 8 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., Perryville, MD. Father Jay McKee of Good Shepherd Parish will officiate. Interment will be in Principio Cemetery, Perryville, MD.
