William Robert Snider, Sr.

William Robert Snider, Sr., 97, of Conowingo, MD, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024 at home. Born April 15, 1927, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late George H., Sr. and Mary Lucille (Ruffner) Snider.

Mr. Snider was a U.S. Navy veteran who served during World War II. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Colora, MD. In the 1960s and early 70s, he was active in Cub Scout Troop No. 92, Colora, MD. Mr. Snider retired from the Thiokol Corporation, Elkton, MD where he worked as a planning engineer.

Mr. Snider is survived by his sons, William Robert Snider, Jr.(Brenda) of Rising Sun, MD, and Thomas Matthew Snider of Conowingo, MD, four grandchildren, Holly Snider (Dan White), William Snider, III (Danielle Slater), Sara Brock (Shane Brock), and Erin Snider, and three great-grandchildren, Theresa Snider, Ella Brock, and Ronan Brock.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Snider was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ethel Allen Snider, son, Jeffrey Snider, and brothers, George H. Snider, Jr., and Fredrick T. Snider.

Funeral services will be private, and interment will be in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD.
