William Derrick Warner, Jr.

William Derrick Warner, Jr., born March 15, 1954 in Portsmouth, VA, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. Bill was the son of Dorothy Kane Warner and the late William Derrick Warner, Sr. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant in 1975. His employment included Amtrak, Hoober, Inc., Ramsey Ford and Sandy Cove Ministries. He was an active member of Crossroads Presbyterian Church in Middletown, DE. Bill loved our Lord and his family. He enjoyed laughing, sports, music, boating, tractors, history, talking, and missionary trips. In addition to his mother, Bill is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia Rodden Warner; son, William Derrick Warner, III, and wife, Sally, and their children, Caylin, Caroline and James, son, Andrew Taylor Warner and wife, Sarah, and their children, Evan, Caden, Owen and Leah, son, Matthew Lee Warner and wife, Mollie; sister, Deborah Neel and husband, Chris; brother, John Patrick Warner; mother-in-law, Elinor Baker Harris; and many loving nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to his father, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Warner. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017, 5 PM, at Sandy Cove Ministries, 60 Sandy Cove Road, North East, MD 21901. Visitation will immediately preceed the service at 4 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Sandy Cove Ministries, 60 Sandy Cove Road, North East, MD 21901. Arrangements By Lee A.
