William Derrick Warner, Sr.

William Derrick Warner, Sr., of Charlestown, MD, died Saturday, June 25, 2016. Born October 16, 1933 in Sikeston, MO, he was the son of the late Evan Derrick and Roberta Givans Warner. Mr. Warner was a member of the Rising Sun Church of the Nazarene, Rising Sun, MD, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He is a retired Radiology Technician of the V.A. Maryland Health Care System of Perry Point, MD. Mr. Warner was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Virginia Kane Warner of Charlestown, MD; sons, William Derrick Warner, Jr. and wife, Patricia, and John Patrick Warner; daughter, Deborah Susan Neel and husband, Chris; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Robert Lewis Warner, Sr. and wife, Audrey; and sister, Carol Jane Daniels and husband, Bob. In addition to his parents, Mr. Warner was preceded in death by his son, Michael Evan Warner. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 1, 2016, 12 Noon, at the Rising Sun Church of the Nazarene, Rising Sun, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, July 1, 2016, 11 AM until 12 Noon, at the church. Pastor Dana S. Howard of the Rising Sun Church of the Nazarene will officiate.
