Carol Ruth (Temple) Breedlove

Carol Ruth Breedlove, 82 years, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family. Born January 12, 1941 in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jack Temple and Ruth Redd.

Carol worked at the former Shallcross business of Rising Sun and the Cecil County Public School System. She loved to sing Southern Gospel and Serving the Lord. She and her husband sang in many churches as the Breedlove’s.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Sandra Breedlove of Colora, MD, Cindy Baker of Willow Street, PA, Kim Johnson (Wally) of Rising Sun, MD; grandchildren, Jason Johnson, Brandy Kreider, Shane Lewis and Al Baker, III; great-grandchildren, Danielle, Katie, Cole, Emma, Otto, Grant, Matthew, Zach, Sophie, Alex, Morgan and Kenzie; one great great-grandchild, Abigail; and brother, Danny Temple.

Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Harley Breedlove; brother, Ray Temple; and sister, Mary Dangler.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, April 20, 2023, 12 Noon, at the Pleasant View Baptist Church of Port Deposit, MD. Visitations for family and friends will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2023, 6 PM until 8 PM, and Thursday, April 20, 2023, 11 AM until 12 Noon, at the church prior to the funeral service. Pastor Dr. Harold Phillips of the Pleasant View Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD.
