Cleveland "CB" Blaine Sturgill, Jr.

Cleveland “CB” Blaine Sturgill, Jr., 85 years, of Perryville, MD, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021 at home. Born July 4, 1936 in Sturgills, NC, he was the son of the late Cleveland B. Sturgill, Sr. and Mary Jean Griffitts Sturgill.

CB was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from June 1959 until June 1965. He was a member of the Susquehanna American Legion Post No. 135 of Perryville, MD. CB was formerly employed by the Elk Neck State Park as a maintenance mechanic.

CB is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Kathleen Logan Sturgill, of Perryville, MD.

In addition to his parents, CB was preceded in death by his brother, Glendon B. Sturgill; and step-mothers, Mary Garrett Sturgill and Leona P. Rowland Sturgill.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766.

Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, August 27, 2021, 2 PM, at the Principio Cemetery of Perryville, MD. Pastor Michael A. Caldwell of the Principio United Methodist Church of Perryville, MD, will officiate.
