David Edward Ewing

David Edward Ewing, 96 years, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 at home. Born June 13, 1926 in Colora, Maryland, he was the son of the late Lewis and Helen Miller Ewing.

Dave was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the 4ID during WWII.  He was formerly employed by the Department of the Army as an engineer technician and was a self-employed tile mason.  He was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Harmony Masonic Lodge AF & AM No. 53.  He loved NASCAR, baseball and spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Ewing is survived by his sons, Bruce Ewing and Gregory Ewing; daughters, Karen Williams and Veronica Ewing; seven grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Edwina Ewing; son, David Ewing; and daughter, Laura Revere.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, February 9, 2023, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, February 9, 2023, 10 AM until 11 AM, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD.
