Donna Lynn Harvey

Donna Lynn Harvey, 59 years, of North East, MD, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 following a long and courageous battle with liver cancer. Born August 9, 1963 in Elkton, MD, she was the daughter of Ronald Dawson, the late Loretta Comegys, and beloved stepfather, Robert Comegys.

Donna will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her, but especially her family. She was well-known as "Momma Donna" to many. Donna had a smile that would light up any room. She was the best sports Mom and Mom Mom, always carrying snacks and drinks for everyone. She could often be found watching her grandkids sporting events. She was their #1 fan and quickly turned into a soccer Mom Mom. Donna loved taking weekend trips to their property in West Virginia. She loved crabbing season and spending the weekends eating crabs with friends and family. Most of all, Donna loved being surrounded by her loving family. She loved hard and enjoyed spoiling her daughters and grandkids. She left such an uplifting and positive impact on everyone she met.

Donna is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Robert "Harv" Harvey, Jr.; daughters, Courtney Gerres (Danny) and Alexis Harvey (Jess); her pride and joy, Jase, Lily, Brantlee and Michael; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Robert and Selma Harvey; siblings, Debbie Leflar (Tim), Ron Dawson (Bernadette), Buck Comegys (Hadir), Christine Reiners (Keith); brother-in-law, Charles Harvey (Lynne); nieces and nephews, Tiffany, Meghan, Katelyn, Owen, Jacob, Savannah, Jordan, Madison, Cameron, Victoria and Christopher; and six very special great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Liver Cancer Donation in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 25, 2023, 1 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023, 10 AM until 1 PM, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Interment will be private.
