Dorothy Lee (Taylor) Eikner

Dorothy Lee Eikner, 95 years, of Conowingo, MD, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021 in the ChristianaCare-Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care of Newark, DE. Born December 14, 1925 in Grassy Creek, NC, she was the daughter of the late Walter J. and Mollie D. Jones Taylor.

Mrs. Eikner was self-employed owner/operator of the Eikner farm of Conowingo, MD. She is survived by her sons, Richard Eikner and Gary Eikner; daughter, Dorothy Benjamin; grandchildren, Walter Eikner of South Carolina, Anthony Eikner of California, Richard Benjamin of Conowingo, MD, Jennifer Benjamin Showalter of Rising Sun, MD, and Robert Eikner; great grandchild, Taylor Showalter of Rising Sun, MD; and sister, Mary Ann Jackson.

Mrs. Eikner was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Eikner; son, Walter Eikner, brothers, Larry Taylor, Willard Taylor, Jack Taylor, and Walter Taylor; sisters, Ruby Leahy, Irene Melinger, Joan Durham, Elsie Taylor and Elsa Webb.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, November 12, 2021, 11 AM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021, 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home. Tom Connelly of Rising Sun, MD, will officiate. Interment will be in Wests Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD.
