Elizabeth "Liz" (Teague) Mcquerrey

Elizabeth “Liz” McQuerrey passed away in the comfort of her home in Perryville, MD, Tuesday, December 5, 2023 following a very sudden decline in her health. She was 60 years old. Born July 14, 1963 at the Aberdeen Proving Ground of Aberdeen, MD, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Sharon Teague.

Liz grew up between Maryland and Texas. She was a graduate of the Aberdeen High School Class of 1981. Liz began what would become her lifelong career in test data collection at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, where she met her husband, Terry McQuerrey. Together they had three children, three grandchildren, and a very full and beautiful life. Liz loved spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, and caring for her dogs.

Liz is survived by her husband, Terry; daughter, Steffani McQuerrey; sons, Joseph McQuerrey and wife, Emily, and Steven McQuerrey; granddaughter, Abby Oberdalhoff; grandsons, Theo McQuerrey and Arthur McQuerrey; brother, Steve Teague and wife, Michelle; sister, Carole Williams and husband, Scott; nephews, Charlie Teague and Matthew Williams; nieces, Sara Williams and Hanna Williams; as well as uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Liz will be deeply missed by all of them.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a holiday donation to a family in need, as Liz was known to do.

As per Liz’s request, her family will hold a private celebration of her life.
