Jackie Laverne Mummert

Jackie Laverne Mummert, 77 yrs, of Perryville, MD, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022 in the Christiana Hospital of Newark, DE. Born January 2, 1945 in West Manchester Twp., York County, PA, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Rachel Tyson Mummert Johnson.

Jackie was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in Vietnam, Persian Gulf, Iraq, and Afghanistan. He was formerly employed by the Department of Defense, Delaware Air National Guard of New Castle, DE. In addition, Jackie was formerly employed as a Police Officer by the V.A. Medical Center of Perry Point, the Town of North East, and the Town Havre de Grace. 

Jackie is survived by his son, Jeffrey Mummert and wife, Ivy; daughters, Wendy Mummert Minks and husband, Michael, Tammy Mummert Aldinger and husband, Vince, Jackie McGinnis and husband, Charles; lots of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and brother, Sterling Mummert and wife, Jan.

In addition to his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by his daughters, Judy Frazier and Joy Mummert; brother, Bobby Tyson; sisters, Lillian Buchmyer and Delores Deaner.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 6, 2022, 12 Noon, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, May 6, 2022, 10 AM until 12 Noon, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service. Interment is scheduled for Monday, May 9, 2022, 10:30 AM, in the Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery of Owings Mills, MD.
