James Arthur Cease

James Arthur Cease, 92 years, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, May 3, 2025. Born October 2, 1932 in Elmira, NY, he was the son of the late Arthur and Helen Cease.

Mr. Cease was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Korean Conflict. He was formerly employed as a machinist by Westinghouse of Baltimore, MD.

Mr. Cease is survived by his son, David Cease and wife, Lori; grandchildren, Emma Cease and Sophia Cease.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Cease was preceded in death by his loving wife, Clara Cease.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766.
