John Bradford Hodges of Kissimmee, FL, formerly of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in Elkton, MD. Born April 12, 1938 in Independence, VA, he was the son of the late Robert Lee, Sr. and Mattie Mae Anders Hodges.
Mr. Hodges was formerly employed as Produce Manager by the former A & P Store of Havre de Grace, MD, and Klein’s Shoprite of Aberdeen, MD. He was an usher, Sunday school teacher, and member of the First Baptist Church of Kissimmee, FL.
Mr. Hodges is survived by his wife, Delilah M. Hodges of Kissimmee, FL; step-sons, Michael Farris and John Farris; three step grandchildren; one great step grandchild; brothers, Darrell Hodges and Vernon Hodges; sister, Bonnie Sue Edwards; and close niece, Christine Hodges Amos.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Delilah Ann Farris Carey; brothers, James Hodges, Robert Hodges, Jr., Joseph Hodges, Charlie Hodges, and Harold Hodges; sisters, Libby Zellman, May Lane and Linda Hodges.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, September 16, 2021, 11 AM until 2 PM, at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., of Perryville, MD. A celebration of life is scheduled for Thursday, September 16, 2021, 2:30 PM until 5:30 PM, at the Evangel Assembly of God Church, 801 Paradise Road, Aberdeen, MD. Interment will be private.
