Peggy Phillips Obituary

Peggy Jane Phillips, 91 years, of Perryville, MD, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024 in the Christiana Care Union Hospital of Elkton, MD. Born October 5, 1932 in Perryville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Jane Patterson.

Mrs. Phillips was formerly employed as a Para-Professional by the Cecil County Public Schools. She is survived by her sons, Paul Phillips, Bill Phillips, and Kevin Phillips; daughters, Catherine Phillips, Maria Phillips, Lauren Schmid, and Kristin Phillips; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and sister, Sue Morningstar.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry Phillips, Jr.; brother, Melvin (Duffy) Patterson; and sisters, Mary Schweers and Eleanor Cole.

A Mass of Christian Burial has been scheduled for Friday, March 8, 2024, 2 PM, at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Havre de Grace, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, March 8, 2024, 1 PM until 2 PM, at the church prior to the Mass. Father Francis Ouma of St. Patrick’s Church will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Erin Cemetery, Havre de Grace, MD.
