Obituary
Ronald James Spoerl, 75, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 at home following a short illness. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Ron retired from Frito Lay and then spent many happy hours working at the Plumpton Park Zoo. He was an avid crabber and a huge Ravens fan.
Ron is survived by his wife, son, two stepdaughters, 7 grandchildren, and a great grandson. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the Plumpton Park Zoo in care of Lee A. Patterson Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 766, Perryville, MD 21903-0766.
A visitation and memorial service will be held Friday, March 17, 2023, 5 PM until 7 PM, at the Spoerl residence, 269 Ebenezer Church Road, Rising Sun, MD.
