Judy Lynn (Madron) Holbrook, age 64, of Rising Sun, Maryland, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at the home of her sister. Judy had been battling complications from Lung Cancer and Fibrosis at the time of her passing.
Judy was born to John Curtis and Johnsie Madron, on November 15, 1946 in Mountain City, TN. As a child, she and her family moved to Maryland, where she attended Rising Sun High School. After graduation, she married and had three children. Judy spent most of her working career with the State of Maryland. She enjoyed quiet days at home with her dog, Missy. She also enjoyed eating out at the Cracker Barrel.
Judy is survived by a daughter, Victoria Alexitch, her husband, Michael, and their three daughters, Rebecca, Michaela and Elizabeth of Newark, DE; son, Robert Holbrook, his wife Jennifer, and their sons Robby and Joseph of Rising Sun, MD; son, Curtis Holbrook, of Rising Sun, MD; her mother, Johnsie Madron, of Rising Sun, MD; her two sisters Patricia Shires, and Linda Harrington and her husband Nick, of Port Deposit, MD; her twin brother Jack Madron and his wife Debbie, of  Port Orange, FL; and several nieces and nephews in the Rising Sun area.
She is preceded in death by her Father, John Curtis Madron (2001).
Friends and family are invited to attend the viewing at the Lee A. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, P.A., in Perryville, MD, Monday, January 17th,  12 Noon until 2 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2 pm. Judy will be laid to rest in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD, immediately following the funeral service.
Judy’s family would like to extend special thanks to Susan, Donna, Teri and Carla, of Community Hospices in Elkton, MD.
