Alice Rebecca Owens Jones, 97 years, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at her residence. Born April 22, 1920 in Cokesbury, Port Deposit, MD, she was the daughter of the late Marshall Jenifer and the late Edna Kell Owens.

Mrs. Jones was a life-time member of the Cokesbury United Methodist Church of Port Deposit, MD. She was a hospice volunteer and a member of the Toast Masters. She was formerly employed by the V.A. Medical Center of Perry Point, MD, in Dietetic Services, and was also a self-employed Beautician.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her sons, Granderson Jones, Jr., of Aberdeen, MD, and Ronald P. Jones of Port Deposit, MD; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; sister, Bertha Jackson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Granderson Jones, Sr.; and brothers, Robert Jenifer, Clyde Jenifer and Sylvester Jenifer.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 3, 2018, 11 AM, at the Clarks United Methodist Church, 2001 Kalmia Road, Bel Air, MD 21015. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018, 9 AM until 11 AM, at the church prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Cokesbury Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD.

Miss Alice was a lovely person who gave of herself to others freely.
She was a joy to talk to; a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. we will miss her very much! Rest in Peace with your Heavenly Father.
